MemeYell

DMCA & Takedown Policy

MemeYell removes contested material on request. If you hold
rights in an image, video frame or sound clip used on this site, or you appear in one, contact us
and we will take it down.

How to request a takedown

Email takedown@memeyell.com with: the exact URL of the page, a description of the
material, a statement of your rights in it or your appearance in it, and your contact details. We
action valid requests promptly and do not require a formal legal filing first.

Our position on meme templates

Meme formats are built from stills of copyrighted film, television, comics and photography. We
host those frames so that people can caption them, which is a transformative use — but we make no
claim of ownership over any frame, sell no merchandise derived from them, and do not license them to
anyone.

People pictured in memes

Many meme formats are photographs of real people, often taken in a moment they did not choose to
make public. We use these editorially and take no position on anyone pictured. If you appear in an
image on this site and want it gone, say so and it goes — you do not need to explain why.
